This one was a given, I just don't know why anyone would throw good money out the window, had they applied for .coin they would be making a killing right now.

i think application would only have been allowed if they had pretended to be be a herbicide manufacturer, or they could have applied for .pot pretending it was related to kitchen and cooking.

Guess it has all ended in tears. ICANN should not have allowed closely similar gTLDs but it looks like these registry operators completely underestimated the requirements for running a successful registry. Wonder who was advising them?

Because of this “demand” the registry’s pricing model made it prohibitive to register a .wed domain name for longer than 2 years.

Haha, first this mad extension and then this regulation.

What a joke!
