hey guys, I just found out that 1and1 is promoting .online extension for free! You only need to pay ican fee $0.18 per year, and you will get it without any other fees. Just now, I even tried to register for 5 years (just try out....) and guess what, I only need to pay $0.90 for ican fee. But, will you consider to go for this new extension?

.online is good if the keyword is good, as you can see many reported sales... But 1&1???

Casino.online sold for 201,250$

.online Domain: 12 months $0/year, then $39.99/year. Billing cycle 2 years. that means they only free 1st year if you register 2 years :D
and it is a Welcome offer of 1&1 which only applies to US territories.

I had used .cu.cc which I got it from free domain service. Then, i face problem like Facebook would want to block such "open" services in order to prevent possible security issues like spam. Since then, I always fear that those unpopular extensions would be unfavorited by social network or even search engines. So, will there be any issue (eg googlebot block my site....) if I go for unpopular extension like .online as my domain?

"Welcome Offer is available for new customers only and limited to one purchase. Billing cycle 1 year. No minimum contract term. No setup fee. Payable in advance. This offer only applies to US territories."

then $39.99/year

With all the negative reviews of 1&1, I woul think twice even if they pay me to take it.

...sounds like a great deal until you realize you have to give 1 and 1 that cute little baby in your avatar too!
