Will the PR remain if you bought a domain from GoDaddy auction?

Let's say if I buy PR4 domain name from godaddy closedout auction, will the PR remain after buying it?

It will remain until the next PR update. Then it will be lost unless you duplicate the website.

Or you can go the long route, use the Wayback Machine to see what was the website previously on that domain, reconstruct the whole website including articles, internal pages, URLs etc., use a tool like FireBug to check what the used theme was and inspect the css/js files. A complete clone in other words. Sounds like a ton of fun, huh? :D

Seems that google moves faster on domains that go from page ranked site to a parked page, or an empty page.
And drops the page rank pretty fast, not waiting for some update that may not happen for months and months.
