I figured id ask the namepros about this.

I want to pump out a couple micro niche sites just for fun and too see if I can make a couple of bucks. It would be a 5 page site. To save myself 16$ im opting to buy the domain with godaddy vs my regular namecheap. However since I will be selling clickbank products on various topics I want to conceal my information, I would make a new godaddy account and make all the info fake (whoIS poverty guard™ ).

1) Is there any problem with registering 2 godaddy accounts with the same credit card?

2) Does godaddy periodically cross examine your who is info to your credit card, only to find that mr. Jimmy Rustle used mr. Jack Elways credit card?

3) Is there any issues on the clickbank end of things if your whoIS leads to a mcdonalds?

Thanks

If you are asking if it is against the TOS to use inaccurate/false whois information, the answer is yes. If you are asking if you are going to get caught, that is a risk you will have to take on your own and find out. Most likely you will be ok, but that doesn't mean a certain level of spot checking doesn't take place and it also doesn't mean certain visitors to your site wont report to your registrar inaccuracies in the event someone needs to contact you through the whois data.

Two thoughts:
If you need to save $16 by cheating, your business model is wrong.
Worst case scenario: your accounts and domains are suspended, then the hassle of restoring everything is not worth $16.

RISKY !!

Not something I would do myself.

email would be legit

also I am concerned with registering a google adsense to a fake whois.

would they cross reference the adsense billing account with the whois and ban my adsense for mix matched info.

I wouldn't even give this numpty the time of day. Given that he is even considering such stupidity shows us that we would never want to do business with this ethical lightweight. Fake whois? Double accounts? Faking out Google and adsense? Good luck with all that.

Let him do whatever what he wants to do and then hope he gets his head handed to him by Go Daddy and Google.

100% agreed. You are risking a little bit too much for pocket change.

There are far more sophisticated systems in backends that one can imagine.

A simple script that can query and highlight mutliple accounts. A simple search that can reveal accounts using same CC number. etc.

On adsense I don't know if you are going to use fake address and all then how you plan on collecting the revenue? Bank name and name of the account should match. Until and unless you open a fake bank account too. Which I know is illegal in almost all countries.

Thanks.

I simply see all this unnecessary, silly and dishonest. It's for people who act like this that the internet is the place it is.

Your biggest problem is how to convince people to type-in their credit card number to purchase an item from your clickbank affiliate link.

People who buy stuffs from 5-page micro niche sites, are probably one of the dumbest people in the planet. But given that there are still a lot of them getting victimized by very old scams like the Nigerian Prince, you might still earn money but it might take you a long time to cash out your earnings. Most people nowadays are weary of getting scammed on the internet.

I don't know why you would want to sacrifice your credit card getting banned or blacklisted from Godaddy in exchange for a few bucks. It's too much hassle to get another new credit card, so your "fun" experiment doesn't look like a very smart thing to waste time on.

The only legit way to conceal yourself is through making your whois private, and you can add that feature to your domain names through go daddy. I use Domains by proxy for a couple in the past.....but...Using false whois information is basically fraud.

(this is my first post here, I had another account a year or so ago cant remember my name, login, or email to it...however I think I only made one or two posts.)

This post gives me a glimmer of hope for mankind.

The remainder of the thread, not so much. :imho:

In this era of info-sharing, best to play it legit. For example, landing page companies are now sharing user info with Google. This cross-verification is bound to become more commonplace. And screwing up in one place could affect many places.
