widow.com sells for $16,500 on Sedo

Just caught this auction on Sedo in its last few minutes. Bid $15,500 but someone walked away with a fantastic bargain of only $16,500 . What do the rest of you in here feel its worth. Compete alone shows an estimated 8000+ uniques a month. I think some traffic might be from the previous search portal but most is probably straight type ins. The plural version seems to have over 1000 uniques per month.

I agree with Brad on this, there are enough names right now for that amount if the name targets widow keyword only.

I think its a bloody good deal considering

1) Alexa rank 250k - good traffic
2) Premium dictionary
3)5L Dictionary - easier to type than longer dictionary word
4) typo without being a typo

Im in the minority. I think this was a poor purchase, with very limited uses. The term gets traffic, but it cant be monetized for MS Windows without likely getting into trouble, and the other term it has connection with is dating sites. But frankly, better buys at better prices exist.
