Why you shouldn’t use AI to write Domain descriptions !!!

We’re all for shaking things up with innovative tools, but when it comes to products or domains descriptions, AI’s just not the magic it’s hyped up to be. Here’s why you should stick with the pros:

AI can’t nail your brand’s personality

Your PortFolio voice isn’t just words on a page. It’s your personality, your vibe, and what make you, you.

AI is great at churning out text, but it’s not about to capture the quirky wit, sass, or professionalism that makes your brand unforgettable.

Don’t settle for bland when you can have brilliance.

It doesn’t speak human

Domain descriptions aren’t just about listing features- they’re about connecting with your audience. AI doesn’t get cultural or trending references, or what your customer is really looking for.

Sure, it’ll try but let’s be real, “almost good enough” doesn’t sell.

Mistakes are a PR nightmare

AI has a habit of getting things wrong. Whether it’s inaccurate specs, awkward phrasing, or just plain weirdness, one bas product description could impact customer trust.

SEO is more than keywords

Yes, AI can sprinkle some keywords into your text, but does it understand how to craft content that ranks and reads like a dream? No chance. The Google gods want originality, relevance, and flow. All things AI can’t deliver without human touch steering the wheel.

Creativity is the whole point

You want Domain descriptions that don’t just inform, but wow. AI’s decent at stating the obvious, but it won’t tell a story, add humour, or write something that makes your customers go, “take my money!” That’s what we’re here for.

It can do alright if you change it up a bit.

Hi

i agree with OP

a-eye has already polluted the forum with copy and pasted content

i thought appraisal tools sucked,
and since they've been infused with a-eye, the descriptions are getting redundant.

those artificial brains can't think of anything different to say.

imo...

Be kind to expand on this idea in the NamePros discussion threads.

For sales landers, AI generated descriptions are just perfect, with some manual supervision and a good prompt. Often AI finds out about use cases I didn't already think of. It saves me a lot of time.

For sales listings here on NamePros, it's often too bombastic, especially when combined with mediocre domains. Wouldn't recommend.

You’re absolutely right—AI helps, but it lacks personality, strategy, and true SEO impact. For domain descriptions that sell, human creativity wins.

Will a good and natural description of a domain actually help in selling the domain itself?

I have the impression that this isn't really crucial when it comes to selling a domain and that it's unlikely someone will decide to buy just because the domain is well described.
