Hi all,

I see lot of users from India here, who has more DOT IN and DOT CO IN Domains. Why dont we have a seperate section for this as we have of DOT MOBI, DOT US and DOT TV here.

What you all guys says?? :?

Regards
Sri Gopal

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I think because if there were a seperate section for each tld this place would be unnavigable.

Also, .tv and .mobi are not country specific tlds, and .us is probably there because a very large portion of us are in the US, and all 3 are fairly popular.

I believe they were separated because there were too many heated discussions regarding these (.tv, .mobi, .us) extensions.

is .mobi is hot ?

That says it perfectly. Thank you scabies!

Sri Gopal, we are not against such expansion. We have expanded many times before. But like most everything else, it's a simple case of supply and demand, if you know what I mean?

Thanks. :)

How about .pro? I think we still need a bit more supply and demand, but discussion is getting more and more active. :)

No offense but at this point of time, I don't think a .pro section is required. :]

You may be correct....

I just felt so, because i was just facing little to find out more details about DOT IN domains... It is just spread across different sections on Site.

I Just dont see any disadvantage to Admins and Mods to have the seperate section and it would simply help ppl. But i really dont know the work involved to do so, so Admins has to take decisions (I mean you along with other Admins )

Clutter is another aspect, I'm sure ... herein there may be a desire to also separate the (rather lowly, I must admit) ".ASIA" threads to a separate area - if for only simply clearing up the general Domain Discussionsโ„ข Forum to make it crisp and clean for the #1 Communityยฉ, IMHO. :gl: :talk:

Just my two sense.

Why don't we have a .com section? Then Jeff can hang out there and never have to concern or worry himself with the 'rabble' in the general discussion area?

Why don't we have a .co.uk & .de section here as well? They're worth a lot more than the .in extention

My request was not based on the worth, it was just based on the no of users more looking at them.

Was this cheap shot comment really needed

Anyways.... I like .info .. Many members like alot of different extentions and adding them all would over crowd nps im sure... I think RJ and the gang do a great job and will add whats needed when its needed :tu:

Besides, how hard do you want the poor hamsters to work :hehe:

I asked the same question about a year ago. DB dealt with it very courteously and professionally as he did here. We ended up creating another forum just for .in, just as theres one for .us, .ca, .co.uk and others.

I suggest there should be a separate section for .in threads. What's wrong in having one?

^ Thanks very kindly, Mellow ... of course, our new friend Netfleet is a classic hypester of unsubstantiated .ASIA promotions and unverifiable "sales", and there will be little to no activity of ".ASIA" domains and discussion if there is a dedicated forum for same (which I will be strongly urging at the next Emeritusยฉ meeting for the purposes of aforementioned consolidation and efficiency (with now no less than eight (8) threads involving the lowly ".asia" extension currently on the front page of the active general Domain Discussionsโ„ข forum), IMHO. :gl:

Those with clear (and sometimes not so clear!) agendas are surely getting in their cheap shots lately ... but, as history has proven time and time again, these folks and their respective, self-serving causes are typically all HYPE and very short-lived! :red: :imho:
