Why L-L-L.com?

With all of the talk about L-L-L.com, what is the foundation for the value of these?

Is it type-in traffic or is it brandability because it is 3-letters?

It is of course the shortness and many, many acronyms

Simply put - they're a poor mans LLL.

The type in traffic and revenue for my L-L-L's (october and september) ranges from 45 per month to 0, and from $4 per month to 0.

For some reason, people do occasionally type in L-L-L.coms

But yes, as everyone else has said, it could mostly be summed up as a poor man's LLL.com

Brandability. Many companies have the same acronym but only one can own the LLL.com and then the L-L-L.com may be the next best choice.

Also, I think that a random letter L-L-L.com should be easier to find an end user for than a random letter LLLL.com.
