No worries, people are selling .co.uk domains here. If you're looking for a specific extension being sold in the marketplace you can easily target just those sales listings by using the advanced search feature. Please take a look at the following thread and watch the short video tutorial to see how it works: http://www.namepros.com/namepros-in...-advanced-domain-extension-prefix-search.html

Hope that Helps,

.co.uk may be replaced by .UK extension in 2013 so I suspect we will see a lot of this extension hit the market this year.

I imagine .co.uk values will collapse when .uk arrives, or sooner.

Already marked my couple co.uk's for non-renewal. Too tough a market to try selling. After all, who would buy a co.uk when you can get .uk? Similar thing happened from what I recall with .in several years ago.

It really will depend on how good the names were to start with e.g. fly sex, money etc will never be worthless…. What you paid for them (open market price over the last few years) then you could lose out but if you paid reg fee and bought years ago they will decrease possibly if public adopt them but not be worthless… You may get some portfolio holders dumping them and a short term lowering. But they potentially have the same listing advantages and if the public perceive them to be the same they’ll change little… Remember if a name has a few buyers once the uk is sold then they will go co.uk or vice versa it will be an interesting period for them though that’s for sure?

UK domainers have their own forums, ditto for other extensions (eg .pl).

Seems to be a lot of rubbish and numerology concerning .uk floating about.

Ya think?

Oh look... it's a UK - this means that everyone will stop using their .CO.UK... just like they stopped using it when the shorter .CO came along ..

Values collapsed after .eu came too.. didn't they. I mean who wants to be a .uk when you can be a .eu?

(not quite the same thing but similar enough for me to make light of it)

Seems to be the same arguments appearing again. Must be time to dig out that famous new TLD fanboy post. :)

What's odd is that people don't understand the difference between a managed TLD (where some kind of entitlement or proof has to be demonstrated before a domain is allocated) and an open TLD (where anyone can register a domain).

I don't consider Domainindex's understanding of the .eu market to be comprehensive. The .eu is not a single market and there are only a few countries actually driving growth in that ccTLD with registration volume in the other countries slowly increasing or falling. Similarly with a multi-country TLD like .com, the real analysis is done at a country/linguistic level.

I hope and pray to all the gods and imaginary friends out there that other people see .uk as a .co moment. Nothing to see here, move along.

Well it may be around £20 wholesale per domain and there are other requirements so it is not really intended to be a domainer TLD as such. There are around 9.7 million .co.uk domains as well.

Good .co.uk cost a bit. People are just waiting for the right buyers. However many domain holders are nerved by Nominet's plans to roll out .uk. So this is a good time to bargain.
