Why is Fabulous' retail price so high?

Does anyone know why Fabulous can charge so much for retail domains names (19.99)? I'm not complaining as I have a wholesale account anyway .

However, I love fabulous so much that I want to recommend them to people (too bad they don't have an affiliate program). What can I tell people who ask what they are getting that they don't get from Godaddy for over double the price?

I heard that the reason they charge more is because their security is better, same with Moniker. Is this true?

I think it depends on the business focus and they are more into parking services. They don't need to compete with other big registrars for low prices.

Yeah, I figured that much. I just wonder if there is an incentive for one to buy retail domain from them at such a high price.

There is no incentive. Their real business is domain parking like mentioned before and selling to people with some kind of portfolio (preferably with domains parked there).

The regular pricing with Enom is quite high too.
High retail prices are maybe their way of saying they are interested in volume user
