Fabulous reseller accounts?

I bought a domain (registered at fabulous) from someone here earlier in the year, and it just came up for renewal.

Fabulous wanted $19.95, which is obviously a retail price, so I transferred it out to my $7.95 enom account and all is well.

But it made me wonder...after looking at the FAQ on fabulous, it seems you have to apply for a "wholesale" account, and even then, they don't list what the registration price would be.

It seems like Fabulous is leaving money on the table by driving people like me away, or am I missing something?

Does anyone here have a wholesale account at Fabulous, and if so, what are your registration rates and how did you get the account?

I have a wholesale account at Fabulous, .coms are $6.75. This price is also listed at their homege http://www.fabulous.com/. Probably they'll approve you if you have > 50 domains.

wholesale account should get you $6.75 .coms, fabulous doesn't really wan't retail accounts and prefers to deal with domainer's who own 50, 100, 1000 domains etc... reason for the $19.95 retail pricing.

@Avensen, thanks. Just reread their main page...um...carefully. I'm not usually brain dead, but I find their whole approach odd (calling it a "product" as opposed to an "account", I guess).

@SpareDomains, thanks as well, yeah, I understand their pricing model; no different than enom, moniker, etc.

I've found it so easy to set up wholesale accounts at so many other registrars that I just thought I was missing something with Fabulous and their whole "application" process. Guess not

Thanks for the offer -- didn't know there was a Fabulous person floating around here.

It did take me a moment to get my head around what makes the Fabulous system unique, which is why I was initially confused. Not used to having to RTFM at a registrar, but I realize now that Fabulous is more than just about registering the name (I sound like an ad).

I do thank you for the personal response; it is much noted and appreciated.

I've sent a PM asking a couple of quick questions, and to make sure you didn't feel coerced or manipulated by what might have sounded like a crabby post on my part.
