Why are NNN.com's so valuable?

I understand NNN.coms are rare. There are a limited number of them which would boost the price. But why?

Like I see these number domains, and seeing them go for $15,000+ minimum. But why? Is there something I'm missing? I see little to no type in, brandability, etc.

The only reason I could see value is if it was an area code of a populous area. Someone educate me!
