I've been keeping my eye on a .com recently and today the whois information says "No match for this domain name." yet the status still says "Status: REDEMPTIONPERIOD" and is not available to purchase under any registrar.

Does this mean the domain will be deleted soon? It's a bit bizarre how the domain record has been wiped but the domain is still in its redemption period. Thanks.

Where did you get the WhoIs information? "Status" (for instance, "no match") could vary based on this to some degree.
Depending on the last Updated date ... it could be up to 30 days longer in the "RGP", and then it will again Update to "PD" ("Pending Delete"). On the sixth day after that updated to "PD" status it should "drop" (beginning approx. 2:00 p.m. EST).
Caveat: The domain may have a "Snap" placed on it, and/or current bids at places like NameWinner.com or Pool.com which may stack the odds against you in registering it manually at time of drop, IMHO.
All the best and Welcome to Namepros. :)

Thanks. The whois information is from www.whois.net - but all of the whois services I've tried state no match for the name. The domain officially expired almost two months ago now, but only yesterday did the original owner's details go missing. I just wonder if that's a singal that the domain will move from RG to PD period very soon.

I've registered with Pool and am checking every day on NameWinner, so hopefully I can get it. I'm tempted to use SnapNames and NextRegistrationRights, but they cost a bit of moolah!
