Tell me which site has the latest updated whois info. I have tried www.whois.sc but some of the whois results are out of date.

And also pls tell me which site that has bulk-whois.

The only WHOIS databases that are reliable are the registry's and that of the
sponsoring registrar's.

Bulk-whois? Hmmm....

Did you try WHOIS.INFO?.

If you need the most up to date, use the actual registrar of the individual domain (Enom, Dotster, Godaddy, etc). The second most up to date will be the registry operators as follows:

http://registrar.verisign-grs.com/whois/ for .com and .net
www.pir.org for .org domains
www.whois.info for .info domains
www.whois.biz for .biz domains
www.whois.us for .us domains

I'd stick to whois.

People have reported (mostly for GoDaddy) suspicions in having never-registered domain names snatched the day after they searched it.

Maybe just paranoid. But registrars can log anything they want, soooo...

I had several experiences with situations like these...

I have seen domains which were available but the next day (doing a whois again) seemd to have been regged some years ago... Sound and seems very strange...

I took it that the question was where to find the most up to date info on registered names.

But yes, I have heard of names being registered after someine checked the whois but didn't register immediately. I think it was more common name generation sites and reseller sites though. Most I've heard have been several years ago though, not recently.
