I have a fair few decent domain names I wish to sell, Who is better for this Sedo or Godaddy? I notice Sedo's parking don't pay much at all, Godaddy's parking pays more, but which one is more likely to sell my domains?
What do you think?

You can use both of this sites to sell domains.
Sedo is better, but you can get good offers at Godaddy auctions too.

I say sedo!

I have had better luck with sedo in the past but you should just use both, no harm in that!

I thought you had to be exclusive with Sedo. No selling the same domain on another platform. Am I mistaken about that?

As far as I know you can list your domain at many sites but you can sell it only one time.

I have only used Sedo, with good results.

stub:

The way I understand it, if your domain is just listed for sale on Sedo and not parked there, you can list it for sale elsewhere.

Hey .... Very good point indeed! And true as well. Thanks for that. I'll stick with Godaddy.

Your very welcome, visit my blog. I just launched it and will be sharing my methods on how to market and sell domain names to small businesses, etc.

You are the best! LOL

If you know how to find buyers by yourself via domain development and/or good marketing then u r OK.

From my experience, I sold more domains at namepros than at any other place. If you ask about sedo or godaddy, then godaddy is far better

Thanks for reviving this dead thread, yakari212. What it shows is you are really reading these forums from top-to-bottom, which I thoroughly endorse. And I agree with you and others in this thread. GoDaddy has been by far my most successful sales platform, since I started using them almost 2 years ago. Before I only used Sedo, Afternic, and my own website. GoDaddy brought a lot more offers and completed sales. So, I think they have many more end-user (type) visitors, although not always the biggest spenders.

IMO, they are both good. It's based on you to get viewers, bidders, and buyers.

I hardly see any GD sale thats beyond xxxx (compared to Sedo). Thats may be Sedo shares/publishes lot of its sales through its Site & in DNJournal sales report.
I wonder why I dont see any GD - xxxx sales in any sales reports.
So xxx -> GD & xxxx+ -> Sedo.
IMHO'

I think it's a privacy issue. Are they entitled to claim they sold a domain just because it's on their platform, and sold by the domain owner? Most of those high sales reported on Sedo, were sold by their brokers, not the domain owners.
