Who downloaded BF2 Demo?

Just wondering if we had enough here that downloaded the game to open our own demo server???

for those worried about it not being able to run on your system.. my system is well below their min specs and I have actually not had one problem (and no, I dont even overclock)

whats your specs? I downloaded it but my pc to too old to run it. im upgrading in about a month so i can play them. till then im gonna play it on my friends computer.

i jsut finished geting my diploma so i can get a fulltime job now to buy a new pc.

im thinknig of getting about 3.0ghz, 1 gb ram, the best damn video card i can find etc

I'm looking at it Lee ... But I Busted out laughing at some of the Download.com User Reviews So Far .... :lol:

Pros: This free demo provides hours of entertaining failed download attempts. Your pulse will rise when you read exciting messages like "Sorry! we are experiencing an unusually high volume of download requests," and "Servers are currently full."

Cons: It would be faster to get on a plane and travel to the "Gulf of Oman" vs getting to download and play this demo.

I'm still thinking about it ~ How bad are the limitations on the Demo ?

umm..limitations are:
multiplayer online:
1 map
12 minute game limit

single player:
1 map
10 minute game limit

Actually lee your wrong on the ram requirement. its 512mb needed. so your pc is clsoe enough to the min specs.

lol Thanks Lee im on a BHD squad and most of my squad memebers downloaded it but they told me that theres a list of graphics cards that are supported and mines isnt there. Im going to download it today. I have a similar computer to yours. Geforce 5200FX (Hate it) 512 Ram and 2.4 Celeron.

yeah, you might need a new graphics card. i would try it on low graphics first though cause minimum specs are often wrong

This is the greatest game ever, while at the same time, it's the slowest and most unstable one.

Online servers are way too laggy, and making a small change to the graphics settings can either make or break the game.

I think it's time for a PC upgrade!

its a good game, the new squad and commander features a nice improvement over previous bf games. the weapons can be a bit off while shooting even at close range

Thanks for info! I was planning to try it but when i saw official requirements i thought that 500MB of demo downloading is not worth it.
I have very similar configuration. Can you tell me - is it "smooth" and what resolution do you play on?

BF2 runs smoothly on my computer as long as I don't have anything else running at the same time. I will be buying this game as soon as it comes out.

I just love playing multiplayer, and finding a good location to snipe other players. There is one location on Battlefield Vietnam where I could lie down in the long grass and it was impossible to see me, even if you were standing right on top of me. And I had an entire town in my view.
