Who can register .co.uk domains?

I was wondering if people who are not from the UK can register domains ending as .co.uk?

Anyone can register a .co.uk but watch which registrar you use as prices vary enormously.

I am in the UK and I use 123-reg.co.uk for .co.uk names only - conversely they charge more than other registrars for non UK extensions.

Remember that you have to register a .co.uk for a minimum of TWO years.
