Hi,

Anyone has any recommendations to a reliable appraiser? Most appraisel companies tend to overprice a domain, I was thinking of going for http://www.appraiseour.com/

Thanks for your time!

eBay is often overlooked as possibly the best appraisal site on the net.

Put your name up for bid.
Start it at $0.01.
Put a ridiculously high hidden reserve.
See where the bidding finally ends.
Voila! Your appraisal!

It's not a freebie but for a few dollars you will find out what your name is worth on the open market.

PS: This usually works, the only downside might be that some bidders will not bid on a name that has a hidden reserve.

That's an excellent idea to use eBay. You'll get a realistic appraisal for the market price of your domain and it will only cost you small change. Top idea.

I misspelled it intentionally. I hate the word too...just an overused word by idiot educators who can't get a job doing anything else.

YES!!!!!

YOU ARE CORRECT, SIR!

The reason I hate that word is it's just a fancy word teachers use to describe a grading system. It was also tied to some stupid aptitude test where they graded your essays. That's my reason, though I don't have any particular problem with teachers/educators.

Exactly.

That's not accurate at all, unfortunately. It's good only for wholesale applications (Most end-users don't check ebay) and reserve prices mean wholesale buyers stay away (Quirky rules, etc.)

Best appraisers

Best appraisers are right here.

I like dgridley, sabrehosting and IamAllanShore. And the mods.

And me. :bingo:

Seriously, we all run through these quickly, but I'd PM some of your own favorites here for thoughtful, personal feedback which I believe most will provide for you in consideration of 50 or 100 NP$ (or even free if you are pressed).

Regards,
Keith

Very good idea to have a name appraised, that is the market appraised value, yet it was not free!

Methinks the Original POST is just a little too much like a shameless plug for their own Appraisal service.

Hi,

Just to clear it up, I am not owner of this service or any service at all. I visited their site and saw it was very professionally done so I thought they might have a decent number of customers. I post the question hoping someone who have used them or heard of them could tell me more.

Sorry for the confusion, I'll remember not to include another site's link in my posts in the future.....
