Yes, I learned a thing or two as well over the years about this extension not being able to resolve globally like a regular ICANN regulated TLD does. I do not see the benefit of it only resolving on one's local computer. Could there ever be a chance that it becomes an ICANN regulated TLD in the future? I registered some .o TLD's on Epik some years ago, and I also was not aware that these alt TLD's are different than the regular ones.
