I have over 300 Domains andi want to make sure they are secure

So which email should i use

Yahoo.com
Gmail.com
My Own Email @ Own Domain.com

i think i should go for the 3rd option,
but the problem is i take hosting from a 3rd party. so can he modify my cpanael password through his WHM and change my email password also?
Then access to my domain account?
D-:

is yahoo.com & gmail.com safe?
will others hack my account?

which shoud i use and why?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
I would personally use an email with a domain I own, in the event, my email is compromised at the current host, I am change hosts and do a "forgot password".

If at all possible, a non-web based email would be safest and that's what I use for most of my more expensive domains.

An email from in example, your ISP is much less hackable than a web based email for which anyone in the world need only know/find out your password.

Gmail and Yahoo should be avoided. These "free" services are favoured by hackers and scammers alike. Follow Reeces advice for maximum safety and security.

Agree with Reece, I too used the email of my ISP and a Cisco router that protect my home internet position :alien:

Hi,

If you don't want to use the 3rd option then you can subscribe to Yahoo's Premium or Business email service.

That way you can use your own domain name as an overlay over Yahoo's email service.

For example:

Your Yahoo email address is [email protected].

You own (control) the domain "BladeMaster.com.

You can set it up so that all your Yahoo emails seem to come
from [email protected] or any of five
other addresses such as sales@, domains@,etc.

You have the option to switch back and forth when you send emails.

Also make sure you use an exclusive password that has both upper
and lower case letters, some numbers and some symbols #,!,$,etc.

Here's a really nice tutorial on creating passwords:

your isp email is better but if you know how to do some postmaster work, then use your own domain for the email.

This is a great way of doing it.
I have email forwarders on all my active sites.
they all have their own email addresses, (setup through CPanel)
but I have the forwarder going to my main email, provided by
my ISP.
That way, if anything happens - an email will go directly to
my main email instead of sitting somewhere else.

Your ISP email is better way to go.
