Which domain is better for me?

Hi guys, I am hoping you can help me, I am in the process of developing an online store (UK) selling slimming supplements, but am having trouble finding a domain for my budget.

I have chosen between:

slimmingproducts.co.uk
yourslimming.com
slimmingoptions.com

Which do you guys think would be best suited for me, and should I only go for a .com or is a co.uk better if I am selling from the UK.

Also am I actually better off buying an older domain name (above names) with no history, or just going for a new one in regards to SEO.

Any help would be much appreciated.

slimmingproducts.co.uk is a great name for your purpose!

It is believed, you get some SEO benefit from the domain name age, but not much (there are many other aspects of SEO that are more important)

Its a very restrictive name. if you think you will ever do more you might want to consider an additional name as well... I dont really like keyword names in general but everyone disagrees with me..

Price is fair for resale but i wouldnt go much higher.

If you're in uk you dont need the .com imho.

I also think you need a .co.uk domain if your are intent n having an online business in uk. You .co.uk is a great option imho. You can always redirect the other two domains to it. Look no further.

I have a .com.au website and I'm worried if someone registers a .com of the same name.. would it hamper my search ratings?
or should i buy the .com domain just to be on the safer side.

I would buy the .com as well, you can always point it to your .com.au domain.

.com is the king! remember that fact. I suggest you develop your site on a .com domain, but at the same time buy the .co.uk name and redirect it to .com. Or you can do the other way round.

I agree that slimmingproducts.co.uk is a great domain to what you are looking for.

Yes, if you have other related domains you can redirect them to your main one.

Definitely SlimmingProducts.co.uk ... but the .com version seems to have a 'nice' price tag to it! It helps to own the .com of your .co.uk even if you are only targeting a UK market for now.

You might be right if you are talking only about UK. But a smart person who feels protecting his brand value online would never give up .com .

And yeah! It is not domain investors like me saying this, but biggies like INTEL, Microsoft, Google etc who have spent millions of dollars in domain name acquisition have testified to this fact how .com is important for SEO and branding strategy.

slimmingproducts.co.uk seems like a good name but i think google is favouring brand name more so if you can find some catchy brand name it would be better.
