Personally I would go for a .com
Even a nice brandable would be good
If I had to pick one, it would be the .CC
None, sorry.
I'm another one who thinks you would be better off using a .com, or possibly the traditional .net.
Raise a thread on the names wanted board, and see if you get some decent offers.
Any reason why you guys prefer going the traditional .com route? I do have some .com domains in mind but none of them came as close to simply having "shared hosting" in the domain itself. I have acquired sharedhostingcloud.com for this purpose too, just in case somebody mistyped sharedhosting.cloud.Can there be a poll option for neither?
Nothing wrong with Limenex.com, this is for a new project..cloud
But what's wrong with Limenex.com?
Yeah, it was a brilliant idea from a brilliant man.Getting the matching dot com is brilliant : wink :
This is a case for me where the dot cloud fits the service, it has a nice ring to it. Even though most of the time new Gs are not my thing, there is a difference for me in buying a new G for development as opposed to for resale. Plus @JFSG has an already established customer base so my guess would be that makes promotion a little different, coming from an already known provider, just a new venture.
Thank you for your deep insight. My deepest concern is basically afraid that customers may find .cloud a weird TLD.. I don't see many new TLDs commonly used...I voted for .cloud. Although sensitive to the ideas of those who expressed the opinion that a .com or a .net has familiarity advantages, I think that the .cloud might work out well.
After the big home.loans sale I listened to some interviews and realized that (one of) his previsous ventures on loans for multi-unit apartment buildings used a .loans right from the start and quickly got a lot of traction in Google (e.g. it is number 2 when I search on multifamily loans even though I am not US based which it is).

Of course he paid big bucks to hope to achieve similar success with home.loans. So far for me at least it is not high on Google (but not in USA) but has not been up long.

You will by no means be the first in the hosting field to use a .cloud (can see some at the Google search criteria below). Although the first few just seem to redirect to a .com from the .cloud.
site:.cloud hosting
Good luck with whatever is your decision.
