Where do you find info on domains?

I had the web site address for looking up domain information and I have lost it and can't remember. What I need is a site I can go to and look up who owns a domain name. I had registered a domain name a while back and I need to check out the status of it. If anyone knows the site to get info on domains please post it so I will know.

I think what you mean is a whois lookup to find the domain owners address, Phone, Name, Nameservers.........Right???
