Where are your names for sale (non-traffic) parked?

I'm wondering what everyone does with their landing pages (parking places) for domains they have for sale that aren't traffic domains?

Like I have many domains @ Sedo and Afternic and currently I am pointing most of them to Sedo parking so people can see they are for sale (don't care about the parking revenue part of it); but TBH that just seems to be a big page with parking links and a small bar at the top saying the domain is for sale.

What does everyone else to to maximize the possibility of a sale for people visiting the domain?

See if you can get into DomainNameSales.com, 1 click in your settings will send them all to a nice sales lander without parking ads on them.

I assume they take a % of the sale?

I use Bodis.com and they offer an option to redirected visitors of your domain directly to a sales inquiry page without ads.

not if/when you act as your own agent/broker

you can create your own This domain may be for sale page for each of your domains.

just include contact info

however those links on parked pages that say same thing, do work.... if a buyer is interested.

imo....

Used landing pages (custom) for all my names, but finally switched to Sedo's "Domain for sale" page. In my opinion it looks much better and clear to the potential buyer that domain is for sale comparing to the Sedo parking page.

Agree it looks nice, but I think that "telephone" in a contact form works against the seller imo

I wasn't aware you could have a "for sale" only page at Sedo?

Is there a setting in Sedo for this or are you redirecting to that page manually?

I do it manually.
Don't think there is a specific option for this.

Can you pls mention the exact page address?

first log in your account at sedo

then go to search and type in your domain name

it will take you to a page, with domain at the top saying 'this domain is for sale' click the green continue button.

it will take you to the "make offer or buy it now page".

COPY the link in the address bar on that page and redirect your domain to it.

or use that link to send anyone to make offer or bin.

eg:

http://sedo.com/search/details.php4...09&language=us&origin=search&fromExactMatch=1

imo...

biggie explained it very well.

The one thing I want to add that if you want to make this with multiply domains (that are listed at Sedo), you don't need to create such links for all names (i mean you don't need to follow the steps biggie mentioned all the time). You just need to changed the domain name in the link, and you will get a new link for a new domain.

Ex.
Biggie's link - http://sedo.com/search/details.php4...09&language=us&origin=search&fromExactMatch=1

My link - (I just changed 1ej.com to bestcouponcodes.com) - http://sedo.com/search/details.php4...09&language=us&origin=search&fromExactMatch=1

using, for some of my names, GD's InstantPage. Think it works pretty well. Its a single page solution where you can add the text/info you want, chose from a selection of fonts and graphics templates. Its relatively fast and easy. Would like to see more solutions like this out there

I ended up deciding on Bodis. Sure I could do up my own pages, but for only 5% sale fee I get Bodis to do up a nice professional sale page for each of my domains and + it gets added to their marketplace too. :)

Thanks to Biggie and Twomoon, this is clearly useful feedback.. might have a psychological effect on the possible buyer, the easier we make it for them to request price/buy the domain

You're Welcome! :)

it definitely does make it easier

particularly when you receive emails expressing interest in the domain.

you can send them directly to the offer page to submit their bid, make payment and the transaction can all performed within the same service.

imo...

Anyone- Are you getting sales from Sedo /Afternic without the domain being directed there? In other words are people really using their search?
