I have about 2000 at present, however 1800 of them are LLLL.infos that I bought when Godaddy and Dotster were having $0.99 specials, all of which will be dropped upon renewal coming in early 2009, leaving me with about 200 domains.

I've downsized from about 4000 earlier this year and will have cut renewal fees from about $15000 to $1500.

Can't complain -- no better way to beat the recession blues than to stop giving all your money to registrars

I currently have right under 800. I would really like to get that number down to 200-300. Out of that 800, 350 are real estate and another 150 are lllls.

I believe in sticking to what you know. I recently sold off my real estate companies but still have 8000+ contacts in the business. Real estate is my area of expertiese.

I'll give you an example...BirdDog101.com to a domainer would hold a value of low $xxx if that. Now take that domain to a real estate guru wanting to create an ebook about birddogging it would be worth low $xxxx. One of my recent real estate name sales would be something I purchased for $7 and selling for $750. $750 is actually a low price for the domain but the buyer is one of my real estate students.

FYI, BirdDog101.com not mine, just an example, I have much better names than that :)

It sounds as if the trend has been that most of us have obtained a lot of domains and are looking to trim it down quite a bit.

It goes to show you that it's not all about quantity. :tu:

I have about 1300 names, about 900 of which are dot coms (mainly two and three words), mainly targetted at business /commercial / industrial terminology.

Most of the names have been acquired for under $30 each.

Any sales I make are usually to end users generally in the $250 - $500 range.

I have no plans to significantly reduce my portfolio and actively look each day for any suitable available names (now almost exclusively dot coms) to improve the quality of the portfolio.

$250 - $500 is the sweet spot for end users I have found also.
