bought a few domain names and allowed a few to expire and renewed z few domain names too but never actually sold a domain name either and not in any hurry to sell cheap either but as i haven't sold a domain name etc what does it feel like to sell a domain name? Lol

It feels reassuring, knowing that you're doing it right. But more than anything else, it opens your mind to the possibilities the industry has to offer. It's also a means of motivation to continue in the trade.

To anyone who hasn't yet sold a domain name after twelve months of purchasing their first, I'd suggest that you hand-register a few at $1.00 / $2.00 and sell as low as you can - just for motivation.

Holding long-term should be for the really nice gems, the rest should be flipped asap in order to grow capital to reinvest in the gems.

It can be frustrating when you have those stretches with only lowball offers, many offer page views but no sales. The tendency is to cut prices. Then when you make a sale but you feel like you sold it too cheap.

While I will keep my best .net and .tv domains, there are far more offer page views, inquiries and sales on .com domains than other extensions. So the portfolio has to adjust accordingly.

that's the perfect sale in as much as the buyer wants the name but also realises that the seller is a newbie etc and hasn't transferred a name etc with the buyer using their experience to make sure the transaction goes through smoothly for both parties especially the buyer i'd have thought
