What you think you should get with hosting?

Hello I run a web hosting company and I was wanting to get some feedback on what people looking for hosting want? Like I know people want support,good price,good uptime. But what else like what kind of hosting plans do you want not like linux or windows but like how much space transfer etc for what price?

When I was looking for hosting I was looking for a value and about most space and transfer but not necceraly that but more then I need or close to what I would use and more. Back then I like the 5gig space 75gigs transfer for less then $10 a month. But later found out I wish I would have never signed up for a year like I did that was only way to get that price. Because it was globat and they pretty much sucked. But that was back before I opened my own hosting company so wondering your thoughts about what you need or want?

I think hosts should provide everything that they commit to the customers.

Quality never comes cheap so if you are looking for quality service, budget should not be a constraint. Most customers when searching for hosting look for good support and guaranteed uptime.

'm second to support what euk-damien told, and I try to choose the best ratio between quality and price, it may be different for different projects.

Yea look at the post date I posted this one before they did maybe they stold my idea but not saying they did. But just saying this was posted before they posted that so makes me wonder. But also thanks for your replys everyone.

No offense Shane(don't want to burst anyone's bubble), but you're not the first to think of this concept. These posts are a dime a dozen across the various web hosting forums. On some of the larger forums they get asked perhaps a couple times a week.

It's good to do research, but to be blunt about it, companies should know what the client wants, arguably. That's why there really isn't a Walmart & Target of web hosting. Different clients are going to pull you in different directions.

I think that host should provide all things it promoting. But actualy that is unusual situation.

CrazyTeck probabaly meant that you have to outline your hosting niche and then make search or conduct a poll, 5gig space 75gigs transfer plan might be ok, but not for $10 mo.

Amount of space provided and customer support are the first two things people look at. When it comes down to everything most companies have all the same features such as 24/7 support, testimonials, one click installs, site designers and templates, but all have different prices and technology. Just my two cents. Hope it helps.
