I like the name. It should be developed at some point.

If you're not inclined to teach yourself MySQL, PHP, HTML, and CSS to do the development yourself ... and the costs of hiring someone to do it are prohibitive, then I'd recommend just listing it for sale and waiting until something changes.

25k for a website design?! Come on man... that was a ripoff... My guys would charge me a whole lot less for a site similar to instacart.com. Keep searching for a good designer. 25k...

You're hip that instacart.com is more than a website, right?
It's a business.
Setting up a business costs more than dev'g out a site.

Peace,
Cy

25K is not a ripoff for a site like Instacart, unless your idea of "site dev" would be a single page that looks pretty but does nothing. I doubt you really know what you're talking about, based on your previous comment with "website design" and "good designer."

Oh look, right now Instacart is looking to hire a Data Scientist, Lead Android Engineer, Ruby/Rails Engineer, iOS Engineer, and a Visual Designer.

You could contact them and let them know that a good designer could take care of the entire site for them.

There is a whole lot going on in the background of a site like Instacart.

Business plan first, then develop

Anyone up for helping me develop ?
You may find doing a business plan will be a helpful reference (and exercise) for you for development. It keeps you on track and forces you to evaluate and clarify your idea.

Yes, you need to develop a site in Ruby for it to function properly... They chose ruby. You can create a website with the same functionalities as that one using java or php. But yes, you made a valid point, you need more than a designer to make a custom e-commerce website. I should've said I spoke with my designer, my php/java programmer, my python programmer, my assistand and the cleaning lady, and they quoted me in the 9k area for a site similar to that one.

The instacar management want an android engineer and ios engineer for their website mobile versions. You're talking about a business that is profitable for some time. Normally they want to invest to keep that business ascending. I've been doing project management for various projects for a long time, I may not know everything but I know a little more than the average bear.

Cheers.

have you tried opensource? either try opencart or tomatocart. you need to set up one man dedicated posting reviews of brand names on it, then people shop based on reviews and customer experiences.
- post articles on it as well.
- post a poll
- a rate box where people can vote for their experiences in shopping.
- affiliate with amazon, 2co or clickbank or take them all to monetize it.
- set it up so people can pay via paypal, crypto-currency or skrill

Now over here this guy is asking for a simple question and yet.

This discussion has taken a wrong turn

Anyway back to the topic.

If you wait for some more months and spend 24500 USD out of your 25000 budget on a beach watching nice girls I guess by that time you will be able to buy a clone of instagram on any clone sites for around $500.

EX: http://www.scriptcopy.com/ and http://www.clonescripts.com/ etc.

So why pay 25K LOL when you can get it for 500 :D

But as some people said above. It is not about the script :) It is how you setup the whole business.

I would also like to add that it is not about how you setup your business. It would also come down to how you run it day to day everyday on and on :D and for how long :)

Thanks.

I'm convinced that one day remote personal shoppers will be a thing - someone buys stuff for you, because you are too busy or not able to be there. Modern technology allows them to communicate with you effectively.

Want a dress from Paris? Find a remote shopper in Paris who is your size to visit boutiques and find clothes that fit your preference. They contact you via live video when they try an item on, then buy the ones you like and ship them to you.

They are DOing your shopping.

For your domain, the word "do" is best suited to someone doing the shopping for you, rather than you doing the shopping.

Now that is a reply :)
