So I obtained a domain with a quirky name that was once a well established blog between 2005-2013. The name itself doesn't have much value aside from being only 6 letters.

Ahrefs shows my domain having over 150k backlinks, and most of them come from really good websites. Including a bunch from CNET, Techmeme, Techcrunch, NYTimes, Harvard, BusinessInsider, Wired.com, Guykawasaki's blog... It's a long list.

Anyone have any suggestions on how I should price and what to do with such a domain? The previous owner doesn't seem interested in purchasing at the moment.

You should repurpose this domain with same niche to get SEO benefits

As Nadeem said, if you don't mind putting in the work, you can recreate the blog. Choose a similar niche and try to recreate the type of content that got the links in the first place. Even if all of the content is gone, if the website was using descriptive URLs, you can use those to figure out what the content used to be. The internet archive may also be helpful. This would let the domain benefit from the old links and grow much faster than a brand-new website. In theory, anyway.

You can either do that yourself or sell the domain to someone willing to do that.
