Inspired by several threads where NP'ers asked for help after their email accounts got hacked (and their domains, Paypal, etc), I decided to open this thread which should point you in the right direction, should you get in the same situation.
I invite all of you to contribute and share as many information on this subject as possible. These things can happen to all of us!

I'll start off with Gmail.
What to do when your GMAIL account gets hacked
1. Go to https://www.google.com/accounts/ForgotPasswd
2. It will ask you to asnwer your secret question and it will reset your password. If you don't remember the answer, proceed to step 3.
3. If you don't remember the answer to your secret question, click on 'Change your password by sending an email to your secondary address' and it will send you your password to your secondary email you entered when you registered for your Gmail account. If you don't know your secondary email address and still can't get to the password, proceed to step 4.
4. Go to http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/request.py?ara=1&hl=en and answer to all the questions in the form, they will check it and contact you on the email address you specify in the form.
In 90% cases, you can get back your account by following these steps. Good luck!
