What makes the final retail price of a domain name ?

    I am sometimes surprised that most of domainers don't know what makes the final retail price of a domain name.

    So for those who are ignoring the details, here is the full formula in 2019 :

    Domain Name Retail Price = ICANN Registrar Fees + ICANN Registry Fees + Registrar Fees (Back End + Escrow + Monitoring) + Registry Fees (Back End + Escrow + Monitoring)

    Without counting marketing and anyone margin of course ;)

    Also, Difference between retail price vs wholesale price is :

    wholesale price = price for registrars
    retail price = price for consumers = You ;)
