Hi all,
I have a LLLL.com parked at Sedo and it is receiving upwards of 200 unique vistors per day. However, I am not getting any clicks.

What categories and / or keywords work well with these sorts of domains when they are parked?

Thanks

the best thing to do if figure out why your getting 200 unique vistors per day. Perhaps your LLLL in an abrevartion thats getting the traffic, or it was and old website. Then select keywords that are related to your traffic. Non targeted traffic means pratically zero $

In many cases of high impressions and no clicks, the traffic will be Asian in origin - look at Archive.org for clues on what visitors might expect to see.

I too have a lot of LLLL.coms that are getting lots of visits but no clicks. Especially since the LLLL buyout happened.

Short of doing the archive.org/asian research thing, can anyone recommend some good, generic, everyone-likes-to-click-these-types-of-ads-no-matter-what-they-searching-for -but-even-if-they-dont-at-least-a-few-clicks-is-better-then-nothing keywords? :hehe:

Thanks for any suggestions!

I am assuming of course that all these new clicks are not bots or people who are just curious about the LLLL buyout. :|

These very well may just be people scanning for any available LLLL.com's. I have noticed MOST of my LLLL.com domains jump in traffic. I think it is simply people that are scanning to see if they are open.

dadomains, perhaps a webpage with an adsense search. People go to your LLLL.coms then type something in your search box---then if they click a related ad you get some change

Thanks for your input guys. I did the archive thing and I know a lot of the traffic is coming from directories etc where the previous owner had registered the website. The ads that are showing are relevant to the old site, but I still get no clicks.

I guess I was asking the same question as DADomains really, but I quite like the Google search box idea too. Does anyone know if there are any TOS restrictions on just putting a page up with a search box on it?

Thanks

The problem is that increasing people get smarter and recognise the parked pages so as soon as they see ads they go away.

The parking companies should be more creative. One important thing is to be sure that visitor use the same language of your ads

Then I should be glad the visitors to my parked pages are not getting smarter.

Does Sedo count search engine bots, trackbacks and so on as visitors? I have LLLL.com with 6k visitors and another one with 4k and about 5 domains with 1-10k visitors and I have 0 clicks on these domains.

I have had some luck with "call to action" keywords on LLLL in the past. You could experiment with, "make easy money", "loose weight", "win ....", "free ..." etc keywords.

Good luck!

Hmmmm... if most of these hits are people interested in the LLLL name itself, and not what it has to offer, that strategy actually makes sense! I think I will try that on a few. Thanks. :tu:

I usually take the time to come up with some crazy abbreviations for my LLLL names. Sometimes I don't even know how I come up with them. Let me give you example. This can be a sort of game. Before you go to the site below, try and guess what abbreviation I came up with the letters first. You will never guess I'm sure. Here goes:

Did you get it? Ha! Not even close right? I bet I know what you thought I did what that name. :hehe:

BTW, my method, while fun, hasn't been very profitable yet. :(
