What is your participation level currently in the domain industry, are you full time, part time, hobbyist?
What is your participation level currently in the domain industry?
Hi
just wondering where do I fit in?
cuz for me, the answer options don't really apply to the question of "one's participation level"
as one could be an active participant across other forums, boards, or write blogs, etc and it still may not be their sole source of income.
i've never been a "full time" domainer, per that description
but i have given more than 8hrs a day, thruout a day, almost 7 days a week for many years... participating in the endeavours of domaining
i put in some time, I was active, and I was busy.
and during all that time, domaining wasn't my sole means of income.
imo….
Really just related to money Don not participation in discussions.
I guess...
but, if there were no discussions, no opinions and no feedback, no ideas to bounce off others, no negotiations or counter offers, no sharing of knowledge, etc., then how much money would have been made, or lost?
how far would domaining go, without it?
or is it just the money that fuels the flame?
imo...
Meaning if 90% of this place was a hobbyist, then the super serious full time domainer, can't really get upset that people have low DOMAINS Wanted Thread budgets, that people are not offering quality domains for sale. You know "hey this place is mostly hobbyists" and it would work the same if it's 90% full time this is how people make their money and you are here as a hobbyist to make jokes and wonder why so many are so serious? These are just examples obviously I don't think anything will be close to 90%.
Hi Ray
that's an interesting perspective to consider and I certainly get your point in that example
though lately, some who have posted dn wanted requests.... said they have "clients" with budgets, some of which are less than $300.
to me, that's comparable to a hobbyists' budget.
maybe some of them are trying to be a broker, as a hobby.
and they are buying names for their clients.
imo...
.
Are we talking maybe 15 years ago? But well done. I've followed 4L for as long or longer.I bought many 4L domains here at namepros at $10 each years ago when those so called domain experts/Pros/Investors were saying 4L were useless....now who is laughing all the way to the bank$$$
