What is VCC?

Hey,

Can someone explain what a VCC is to me? Until recently i had not heard the term used much, i assume it stands for Virtual Credit Card? How do they work? And most of all how are seemingly random people selling them or giving them away free (with no credit)?

I think it's when someone sets up a Account, with a card number etc, (Fake and sometimes Real), then they sell it to other users, so they can get Approved on PayPal, and other things like that.

It shouldn't be allowed in my opinion.

No its legal from what I have heard. They are useful though.

Yeah.. It does not any the TOS of paypal but I think it won't be long till paypal realizes that VCC should not be used to verify accounts as they aren't accurate as being verified with Real Credit cards.

and if paypal or whoever decides to charge the vcc... then you get busted?... i think that for some programs they say they'll charge you $x from your credit card and then fund you with $x in your whatever account. discuss more!!

most people buuy VCC because for paypal only since they cant get real CC or the may afraid if any bills will come

Another thing to think about, is getting around bans, CC's are linked to your country of origin, i am in australia, and it's illgeal for australian betting companys to allow australians to use their online casino's. VCC are usally American based, so easily allow you to bypass those type of restrictions, same goes for "Must be a resident of America" etc etc, There are a few company out there that DO full virtual visa / master card offers.

I'm pretty sure that only applies to Canada, UK, US paypal accounts.

vcc [virtual credit card] is a fake credit card that helps you verify not only paypal, but most other services like google adwords etc!
it is not recomended, and once detected your account will be banned.

but then most people use it, and get away with it, but then if paypal finds it, it will sure lock your account!

in a charge back, or in a high ammount transaction a problem can occur, but then a credit card change back is also not good!

Thanks everyone - it seems my understanding of it was more or less right. Can anyone suggest a legitimate use for these? I don't see why they would be needed except for "dodgy" reasons.

ok i can give an answer
people use this VCC because they cant get it and some those who had real CC they were afraid to use
the reason this VCC is helpful as long as we have cash or we can fund

this VCC are more useful scammers because its to find their location country etc

If you want to hide about you and your information then right VCC is the best option for you
