What I Think Parking a Domain Means...

so i have my idea of what i think to be the way of domain parking but im still very new to this so i assume i am wrong but here it is:

i buy a domain and "park it" with a hosting service and i build up percentage value the longer i hold it. or somehow the value of the name builds up throughout times and trends etc.

i feel off on this perception but shit if im right thats sounds goooood hahahaa
