I heard this company bought thousands of .TV domains long time ago. These days, I happened to check their websites and surprisingly lots of their registration has expired on April 11, 2006. What happened?

I went to reg a LLL.com at godaddy today.

Couldn't believe that there were none left.

Apparently they all went in 1924 but if I wanted a NLN.com I could get 2L8.com at namepros for a few hundred bucks
