What domain would you register?

If you could go back in time (say 1988) and register any domain name (not trademarked), what would it be?

If I could only register one, I'd probably have to say money.com. Maybe stock.com or business.com. Any generic, all-encompassing finance/business dictionary word domains would probably make you the most money. Something like "house.com" or "home.com" would have huge potential if done right from the early 1990's onward, knowing what we do today, although if we're allowed to have 2009 knowledge in a 1989 context, I'd probably go with buy.com only use an entirely different operating model, preempting both amazon and ebay.

A single letter .com like A.com would be a contender, or something with enormous breadth like USA.com... It would be pretty much impossible to decide.

Sometimes I think about Feb 12, 1996 when I asked NetSol to register my first domain (was lamperti.com and I still own it) Sooo many good names were still available at that date! Ouch. Anyway it wasn't so easy and straightforward to get a name and more expensive, too. If i'm not wrong was something about 100 USD for 2 year reg. My choice? maybe Download.com (taken a few days later, on Feb 24, 1996)

Indeed. I believe it was $70 for 2 years - though I may be wrong. The more complicated part was (IIRC) having to fax in registrar info?
