If you see one you like there, go ahead and PM me as I may sell depending on what domain it is. But, what do you think?

each and everyone one of these domain names is worth whatever you paid for them. $0 - I didn't really see one worthy name. No good keywords... nothing. You would have been better off not registering any of these. IMHO. DailyJokes is the best if I had to pick one to develop ... but it's worth $0 on the aftermarket right now.

Good Luck

I stiil can not understand why everyone shot out and registered .be domains in English. I did reg. one in English, RoyalBelgium.com that could be used for a tourism site, but the rest I registered in Dutch.

60% of Belgium speaks Dutch, I don't. However there is a .nl version of overture, .be Ebay, dutch grammar forum and plenty of dictionaries to help.

In fact everybody missed the best trick of all. On EuroDNS you can see if your domain is registered at .nl (Holland). If somebody has 'PAID' to register a domain in Dutch .nl then it stands to reason it has value in .be

It took a week of really hard work but I found ten premiun .be domains in Dutch that should have value to a Belgian or Dutchman.

Just my tuppence worth.

As a Dutchman living in Belgium, I have to agree with Dominic about english names. We do not type in Englishword.be. We do type in Dutchword.be, and if you're living to the south of us, you type in Frenchword.be.

I disagree with the EuroDNS .nl - .be theory, simply because there are 3 to 4 times as much Dutch speakers in the Netherlands (Holland) as there are in Belgium. We Dutchies also have registered over 1M useless domains, so the .be variations don't get value automatically.

The whole point of free .be's was to raise the number of names per citizen, to get it more at the Dutch level. Alas, that doesnt make any sense without development!

I would have to agree with DOMiNIC & rexvli. I have 5 .be's that are single dictionary words (all Dutch terms). Not much for value (their .com conterparts in English are 6 or 7 figure domains), being in Dutch (world Dutch-speaking population's percentage), and narrow becuase is targeted to Belgium users mainly becuase the extention is little known outside Belgium or domain-speculation market. But, like any domain and any extension, it is not us or the world as a whole that sets the value. Its the end-user/end-buyer. I just need the right buyer from Belgium that falls into the 60%+ of Dutch speakers, has a big need to market to Belgians, and who also has a nice size check-book (or CC :p ). Unless your name can fit in a sentence or common phrase/quote that ends with the english word "be", a .be domain in English won't make for much; and this is with few exceptions :imho:

Just my thinking but if there is going to be any aftermarket value(albeit it small) in .be names I am expecting it to come from persons wanting a premium name without having to pay the high price of the com's or net's which are all consumed anyway.I may be wrong but trying to target a domain to persons in a country with the population of a large city divided further by languages may really limit its market size.
In otherwords I think business.be will likely sell for more than zaken.be(I hope that is the right translation).I could really be out on this but maybe someone who has better knowledge of sales with other country domain extensions can comment on past prices of these types of domains. :)

The ones that are getting traffic for me are french words :hehe:

I think you went overboard on registering free domains.

The way I see it...the word FREE inspired the reg of names. No thought on the country, just keywords and such. I did a few but worked the tld into the title (abrideto.be). I also see people regging more than 10. Why? Again...free. Will anyone ever do anything with the 100-300 .be's they have...I would have to say NO.

My 2 cents, WhatEverThatWill.be

For those sceptics about the value of ".be" domain names; as I already said somewhere here (another .be-related thread), there's no justified reason to argue that ".be domain names worth $0 because reg fee is $0".
The value of a domain name mostly resides on the value it has (or it could has) for the correct person/company/organization etc. It's a matter of strategic (targeted) marketing.

About the ccTLD importance, I recommend you all to read the next article at DomainingBlog, titled "The Benefits Of Having a Country Top Level Domain (TLD) Name":
