I am checking this thread when I am off work and I read each comment to understand how domainers feel about their investments.

It is interesting and I believe the results are mostly realistic which would help newbies to better understand domain industry.

Thank you all for your contributions and comments.

Really proud of my work, only invested like $2000 in aftermarket, the rest were hand-reg'd.

what can you expect from godaddy close out :), so yeah, my portfolio are suck so bad :) , But I like my domain, sound good, have rhyme, product name, the industry worth million dollar or even billions, and etc! I just need some luck and sell fast and that's it! buy more and sell more! even if someone not buying, I don't think it will be the end of everything! afterall its just $25 at close out :)

I've invested in future tech domains and industries that are here right now, but not yet mature.

So how much is my portfolio worth? Who knows. Could be a lot, could be nothing.

All i know is I've spent well into 5 figures on domains that should do well should these industries develop i hope.

I started pruning, but I kee[ seeing low hanging fruit. Now I've got more names than I had a month ago, and that wasn't the idea. Still, I think my portfolio quality is improving. :)

One's perception of his/her own portfolio quality is purely speculative and subjective.
Therefore, it's always wishful thinking. Well, that's me.

What if i had 50k domains, with price $2 each. Then total would be $100k :xf.wink:

My portfolio's quality is top-notch. It even says so on its website.

Two years ago many CHIP LLLL.coms were considered garbage. Now they are a grand each.

Reg fee domains are worth little when purchased, valuing them is hopeless. The question is how good are your choices, no way to know that now. If you won't take reg fee back for your domains then they are worth more, regardless of other's opinion. Reg fee domains are speculation, value them like lottery tickets.

Brandable name marketplaces had valued my portfolio more than 1M (have more than 600 names published on BB, BR, NR, Brandpa combined). If all of them are sold at the listed price, my net income (after fees) will be more than 1M. Of course, it will be only a dream. I will be very happy if I can sell just 3-5% of them.
Other than that I have several names that I list on my own marketplace (also worth millions if I may dream) :xf.wink:
