domain What are your thoughts on Gas dawt me

Hello,

I wanted to get your thoughts on the value of domain name gas dawt me. (Reseller & End User)

Oil.me just recently sold for $5k but the domain still resolves to the .me registry. Do you think Gas is comparable to oil?

I honestly am not really too familiar with .me sales but for development wise you could develop this into a joke/gag website. I'm thinking because "me passing gas" would work with gas.me, which is associated with humour. :P By the way, I like the name haha.

Really loving this name. Again I'd have to agree with sellerofdomains and say I'm not too familar with the sale of .me domains. I love the suggestion of developing the site into a humour type site or some other site the first thing that came to mind was a Gas price comparison type service with the current price of petrol I'd definitely use it!

Oil.Me just sold for $5,000 on sedo last week, so I would imagine Gas.me has the potential to fetch pretty close what oil.me did. Granted, the oil one has different playful directions to it than gas does. so maybe expect 50% of that sale ($2,500 ball park).

I agree in the sense that these are much better fits for the .me call to action/verb hack.

There are definitely better comps such as:

Oil.me $5000
Mad.me $4445
Bio.me $4100
Golf.me $7000

Many more longer non-verbs in mid x,xxx.

This is an easy low to mid $xxxx name, possibly higher to the right buyer.

It may not be very apparent, but there are alot of end-users out there that would def have an interest in this name. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the big boys showed some interest with the right representation.

The whole .me extension only working with verbs was very prevalent in the beginning of the popularity. But I now see the extension showing signs of expansion into the non-verb realm with some nice sales.

I would hold out for the right buyer on this one. It will be worth the wait IMHO.
