Hello domain enthousiasts,
Let me explain you one of the way I use the service myself so you will better understand the value and limitations.
Let say I see a collection of domains for sale and I want to make an investment.
As allways the collection mix (rarely) very good, good or (mainly) garbage domains.
To sort all this, I cannot only act with my knowledge.
There is some niches I have a huge experience but most of the time I need to get metrics to really extract the best.
What may sometimes look likes catchy in fact has a poor/no value.
Remember that just adding a character, just putting a synonym and the domain value can be totally different.
So here 3 solutions:
a) Do it manually thanks to OVT, Google, checking similar domain sales ... (exactly LIKE YOU .. I am not ET).
b) Use our service.
c) Ask to peers in sites like this one.
The first option can takes a lot of time, and time is money.
The third option makes no sense for portfolios.
The second option is free/fast and has the advantage to give me these metrics I need. Plus it calculates me a domain scoring that also takes care of the readability and the TLD value.
So I get a domain score for each domain, it becomes easy to compare the domain collection.
Now like some members outline here the metrics are not all !!!
I share completly.
I will not "stupidely" buy ALL the domains having a descent score.
But you can be sure I will not buy the ones having low scores.
I have now in hand a restricted collection of domains with a global score outlining the quality of each one.
Now it's time to take a decision and there:
No program, no algo will take the decision for me!
I remove the ones having low scores.
Keep the ones having high scores.
And for the ones having a medium score I select the ones I think that should have more sale chances, or could be great for a site development or as a gateway according my experience.

Responding to specific questions:
- I remember we do not offer any appraisal service.
- Yes, TLD value is considered in the domain scoring.
- I do no like to judge peers, so no comments in Leapfish.
