What about a Domain Trading Section here at NP...??

I'm sure many people here have been following One Ugly Domain's evolution and realizing how domain trading can be a fun thing....
Wouldn't it be interesting to have a section at NamePros only for people willing to trade their domains (a very common situation) for others...describing what they are looking for and etc...?

The whole domain trading thing never really got to me. When being offered a domain name, I usually dont see value in the offer's domain - atleast, not nearly as much as my onw.

Although recently I did accept a domain name + cash for a small website I built. The name to me didnt have much value, and I may eventually just sell it for a few dollars, but the concept I have never seen truely work.

I also didnt pay much attention to the million dollar domain trade - but it is getting more and more interesting as he clearly now has valuable domains to choose from. Im curious to know how many people engage in domain trading?

I think that it would be a good idea, myself I participated in oneuglydomain too. Personally I would participate in it.
The problem is that practically many domainers overevaluate theirs, so there would be a hard issue...

More like that, what do you guys think of a special section where NP'ers could list all their domain for sale, in their control panel. It would be a place that would be updated by those who want it, and a good resource for those looking for buying names.

It would be ok, as the threads are often full, and you search a lot. It would be just a plus thing, everybody who has some domains for sale, to list them in a category below their appraiser profile and general profile (or anywhere else).

Sorry qualitynames for kind of inserting this idea into your thread, but think that it goes on the same idea to make NP better.

Would be kind of a fun to trade... but I doudt you'll see a lot of it. Most people have different opinions about domains, so they'll probably see their domain worth more than the one they're being offered. Some people also prefer cash - I know I do. :p

Thats a great idea! Where domainers can exchange ideas and appraisal opinions on domains they are interested to trade in. A marketplace to swap domains is coming up very soon but there still must be a place for ppl to discuss their options.
