Someone on this board who I don't recall keeps saying google and yahoo penalize .tv extension in search rankings. Well folks, its not true and a great example of this!

My reemisland.tv is first page & #1 in yahoo and first page in google for the term: Reem Island

For a really popular term, it'll take a lot of SEO work.

Thanks Roy, tu.tv is kind if intriging me (Alexa is now 217) as they keep on rising, despite being in Spanish language and not having an English language option on the site. Just noticed they also have an adult video spin off, tuporno.tv which has an Alexa ranking of 941, even though most of the videos you have to pay for.

It's quite a succes story for .tv in my opinion as they clearly go for .tv, they didn't bother getting the .com versions and is the highest ranked .tv in Alexa.
