What do you think is going on in the scenario pictured below? What do you think my next offer should be?

(I will likely be offline for the next couple of hours in case I don't answer any questions you have promptly).

well it says its negotiating with other sedo users. It doesn't make since unless you read the little inserted statement. You should buy it at $5m or let it go.

can you hint at what it is? That's a huge purchase. Is it a 4L, a 3L, a 2L, a single dictionary word? ty

Please bear in mind that the seller's original counter to my initial offer of 15k was 250k.

It makes no sense. If you need a domain, I have similar domains for sale. Just DM me.

Lower your offer to 10% below your first. Then stop making offers.

not sure if i'm confusing this but how come such high offers/counters on a 2 word .tv that looks like to be a trademarked term in television services?

i wouldnt pay $100 for this name.
you must want it real bad.
this seller is going to setup altar in your name and worship you as god with his entire family til the day he dies, if you pay him anything close to these numbers.

The person who owns it obviously doesn’t know what its worth and will muck up any deal. You should go silent imo.

And if he accepts one of your million plus counteroffers you won’t pay and you’ll lose your Sedo account over this game.

So you own the domain name and played a game here. I feel I have wasted my valuable time here

I had to take drastic action given that Sedo had refused to add one other name to my account (well over a year ago), after I had contacted them, sent screenshots of TXT etc and all, asking them to remove the name from the old owner's account.

In response to the offer on the other name, the seller promptly let Sedo know the name was no longer his, Sedo emailed me to let me know this, and they removed the name from Sedo listings.

For the name in screenshots above, the Seller simply refused to the decent thing that the other seller did, which is to simply refuse the offer and let Sedo know the name is no longer under his control.

Why is anyone who is no longer in control of a domain effectively and deliberately preventing the new owner from listing it for sale?

If he had accepted my million-dollar counter-offer, I would have asked Sedo to obtain from him and send me proof of his ownership of the domain before I make payment.

Why is it hard for this person to simply delete the name from their account when it only takes 3 seconds to do so? What is this person gaining from pissing off potential buyers by making silly counter-offers on a name they don't own?

once you submit an offer it is no longer an easy one click solution to delete the name from your account, it needs an human support element, which isn’t always easy to get at sedo.

There is a 'Cancel Negotiation' button.

And the other seller was able to do it as it was resolved in less than 24 hours. This particular seller could also have added a message to say he no longer held the name which Sedo support would have seen (before passing the message + counter to me) , and would have prompted removal of the name from the listings.

Seller finally says something ...... 😂
    Screenshot_20200128-235743.png

Hopefully, he'll delete it from his account soonest. If Sedo won't do the job, we will! 😂
