i wanna know that which tool is best for Web Designing?

Adobe Photoshop CS
the best tool for web designers.

But some designers use gimp or other programs.

well if you talking about graphics then yes photoshop is the one but if you mean coding then i use notepad ++ but that's cause i know code if not then dreamweaver or something like that might help.

i'd also suggest learning how to use adobe software like photoshop and illustrator. you can then integrate your design elements into the web, or slice a layout and use that.

For me Photoshop is the best but if you don't have time or you just don't understand it you could use more simple programs like GIMP or Twisted brush to create your design...

InThat depends on your design experience and capabilities. If you are familiar with HTML or you have experience using design software then the obvious choice is to use an html editing software.

HTML editors I recommend:
- Adobe Dreamweaver 8 - Best professional web editor however it is expensive
- CoffeeCup 2006 for Windows - Best web-design software for non-pros
- Nvu 1.0 - Free web-design software

If you are building a blog you can use something like WordPress which is a free blog system with built in templates.

You will also need a graphic design software, the two best are Adobe Fireworks or Adobe Photoshop however Fireworks is built to work directly with Dreamweaver.

I would always recommend using a design software over web hosting design tools however the choice is up to you and your comfort level plus willingness to learn how to use the software.

I recommend dreamwaver in that case too!
Dreamweaver's main plus is that it is user-friendly!

This is my current set up and prefer this over everything else

- Adobe PhotoShop CS4 - Graphic Design
- Microsoft Web Expression 2 - Coding / Layout Design
- Apache Web Server / PHP / MySQL - Test sites and codes while i am deployed.

Photoshop is by far the best tool. With this, you can design the headers, footers, and other images. You will need some GIF animators to Create animation if needed, because I will not recommend Flash for that purpose, unless you have a big site space. For buttons, and special symbols, you can use flash.

For design, also give Xara Extreme a try. Awesome program, a lot cheaper than Photoshop, comes with a lot of useful templates.

For image editing, Paint Shop Pro is good for a beginner too, and the price is reasonable.

HTML - there is no option to Dreamweaver. But for an absolute beginner, you could also try Netobjects Fusion, or even Mozilla Composer (free, comes with mozilla, now called seamonkey)

i had studied dreaweaver before,it is easy to operate and study,so i recommend dreamweaver,when i was in school ,my teacher told me dreamweaver,firefox and flash is the best partner when design website
