After a long session on my laptop, doing some remote help for a client i needed a cigarette so i went out, with my drink(bacardi mojito), sat down on the porch and had a nice smoke...went back because i got another phonecall....

After a while i realized i forgot my drink outside...so i stepped out again to finish the drink and have another cigarette...sat down, lid up the smoke and took a sip and....bah!...had something in my mouth......

Here it is:

Bug's version:
Today two weird things happened to me, firstly i found some bacardi mojito just lying there in the open; i jumped in to partaay! After a few swims and gulps, a human comes up and tries to swallow me, luckily he got grossed out and let me go, hows that for an adventure, im off to tell my kids and fellow bugs ;)

However, not everyone sees cockroaches as a great danger. According to the website for the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington (http://www.zoo.org/educate/fact_sheets/roach/roach.htm), "For humans, cockroaches pose little threat; practically all species of cockroaches are beneficial to their environment, and they are an invaluable aid in recycling a large majority of the Earth's dead or decaying plant and animal matter. Many people associate cockroaches with the spread of disease. Unlike mosquitoes or fleas, cockroaches do not spread disease via direct transmission (i.e. through the blood as the result of a bite). Instead, cockroaches inhabit unsanitary areas of food storage, bringing with them microbacterial agents of decay. In turn, these agents contaminate our food supplies with pathogenic organisms. It is these "hitchhikers" that spread disease, not cockroaches."

But, yeah.. I wouldn't want one in my mouth.. don't want them multiplying in my apartment.

When I was a kid, we had to spend a night in a hotel on South Beach in Miami. That hotel room was so infested with roaches they were even in the refrigerator. We left as quickly as we got there.. no thanks!
