I ordered 51 sites from Member www.DONT.net (Jay Mahal / Soofi Group / LoudBeats).

As you can see from the post: http://www.namepros.com/developers-...-minisites-quality-content-starting-20-a.html:

The turn around per site is 2-3 working days per. At his convenience, when he realized he could not deliver in the required time frame, the turn around changed to 3-5 days per site. So now, for a job that should have taken a max of 153 days is now going to take up to 255 days, and even that timeframe didn't look like something he'd be able to achieve. For your information, not a SINGLE site was EVER fully completed as per his post. You heard right, NOT ONE SINGLE SITE fully completed from mid May to August 9th when he QUIT!

Additionally, we paid $10 extra per site for a quantity of 4-5 pictures relevant to the site content. ONE site had ONE relevant picture. That's right, ONE site had a SINGLE relevant picture. The rest either had NO picture or a SINGLE picture that had no relevance to the site content. When we complained about this shortcoming, required quantity suddenly changed from 4-5 pictures per site, to ONE picture per site, again at his convenience.

Of the 51 sites ordered, he dabbled with a total of 16, but not one met ehe requirements of his own post or the 4-5 relevant pictures ordered per site.

We advanced him $525 to commence work. Before additional money was due, he requested a $300 "Loan". We agreed to the loan, and admittedly advised him to apply it to the balance.

When we repeatedly asked him to complete the sites he had started, including photos, he suddenly decided he didn't want to do business with us AND he kept our money to the tune of $825.00. That's correct, he decided he didn't want to work for us anymore, and he decided to keep our money.

Mr. Mahal's website www.soofigroup.com, referenced in his post, states he has a "money back guarantee". He DOES NOT honor this guarantee. Independent of this guarantee, we offered him to keep the initial payment of $525, but asked him to please refund the $300. We thought this would be fair for the work done, despite it was not in accordance with the agreement. He refused and in fact, claimed he was owed MORE money and that the money back guarantee on www.soofigroup.com, which he references in his post, was not applicable. Here is how we calculated the amount due, which we considered as generous considering the breach of contract:

Minisites developed: 16 x 25 = $400
Inclusion of images: 0 (none met the quantity requirement of 4-5, and/or relevancy to the site)
Set up google adsense channels: 16 x $5 = $80

TOTAL: $480.00

Amount Paid: $825.00

Refund Due: $345.00 / we offered to settle for a $300 refund.

We filed a dispute with PayPal; however, unbeknownst to us, PayPal considers such services "Digital" and intangible items, and our claim was denied, permitting Mr. Mahal to abscond with our money and basically rub it in our face with a tirade of obscenities. Mr. Mahal it seems, was quite versed on the "intangible items" loophole at PayPal, having been a victim himself. Apparently (from another post), Mr. Mahal knows this loophole and used it to his advantage in his reply to our PayPal dispute.

I subsequently became aware of problems other people had with him, and now it appears he is on a self imposed exile from NamePros because of an ongoing dispute with management.

I realize MANY of you have had favorable experiences with him, but I feel compelled to advise fellow domainers about my experience with this service supplier.

The Moderators have been informed and I understand they are looking into it. He is apparently very upset with a moderator(s?) here having even made a post on another forum (now deleted by moderators) with reference to the same.

If you're going to have any work done, independent of trader rating and that sort of thing, use an escrow service or use a reputable "real" company, who doesn't quit the job when they can't deliver, or withdraw from one forum when things get tough, only to go set up shop at another forum.

Hoping this matter is satisfactorily resolved with moderator's assistance. If not, I hope the he is permanently banned. This sort of behavior is totally unacceptable.

For the moment, I'd rather not reply to posts or questions until the moderators have completed their investigation, though I may add information; however, if you have a really burning question or comment question, please PM me.

Anybody else have any trouble with him?

:(

As I informed you guys, he's on a self imposed exile from NP, but he came back on long enough to leave me negative i-trader; however, the mods should be looking into this. This clown says I'm a freebie seeker and a scammer who will take off with your money! I'm cracking up!! Sure would like to hear more about how I scammed him!

Incidentally, since he closed up shop here on NP with his self imposed exile, he's since opened up a nearly exact duplicate thread on another forum offering the same services, but his thread has been deleted by the Admin due to this situation which I believe they too are now investigating!

I may not get my money back, but this clown may get banned from at least two forums!

FYI: In his attempt to shield his fraud, user has changed his username from www.dont.net to "soofi". Mods are advising the negative i-trader he left me will be removed as soon as the investigation is complete.

UPDATE: The negative feedback has been rightfully removed and Mr. Mahal's account closed here at NamePros! He left negative feedback on another forum too, which has been removed and now they too are looking into the situation!

Kudos to the staff for their support during this ordeal. I may be out my $825, but I take comfort in knowing one less scammer is amongst us!

Now to whittle away at him on the other forums and back under my rock I go here at NamePros!

Sorry to hear this but another thought....

His reputation was very good, his Trader rating also...you are THE only one who left a negative trader rating...maybe he chew off a bit more he could swallow with your 51 sites....
To the money back guaranty, maybe he spend already the money on some coder help for your project and was not able to give you the money back right now but he should stick to the policy he provided(and you've been pretty generous with your offer of wanting only 300 bucks back)...

Unfortunately it takes just one unsatisfied client to destroy your reputation...To your lost paypal dispute, it is well known that "services" are not tangible goods and a dispute will most likely fail...

BUT i really would like to know Jay's side of this, can the mod who closed his account chime in since he cannot respond here anymore(other than open a new account what could be prevented by the mods b/c of his IP) ? :)

It looks odd that he changed his user name but on the other side it could be that he received an offer on the domain dont.net, happens all the time..this is no indication that he is a scammer...and having a sales thread for your services on other forums is pretty usual too.

I am not saying you are in the wrong, we just don't have all the information :)

Cheers

Wow, 199+ feedback, one unhappy customer and cut. 0 Tolerance for sure. Would have liked to see both sides, but if you lost all the cash I'm very sorry to hear that.

The problem is he is not really trying to defend himself :(...i have sent him a couple emails via different email addresses and there was no response....that doesn't look good for him to be hnest but maybe he has some troubles in his life right now, who knows...it is just odd...well, we will see

Cheers

This is bad news, sorry to hear about the money you've lost.
I also hope to hear what the other side has to say.
I feel sorry for him too, one mistake, everything he worked for goes down the drain.

Jay's account was closed because of the accumulation of infraction points. I believe this case is still under investigation and want to clarify that Jay's account was not closed because of this case.

P.S. - I was not the one who closed his account nor handled his case. Just thought i would pitch in and let you all know why Jay's account was closed.
