Thanks

My space has other meanings too as well

It doesnt matter. Its like owning a domain with "ebay" or "myspace" in it.

It is still a TM domain and VISA will persue action as they have done to many

Trademarks
The trademarks, logos, and service marks (collectively the "Trademarks") displayed on the Visa site are registered and unregistered Trademarks of Visa and others. VISAยฎ, the Three Bands Design Markยฎ, 3-D SECUREยฎ, CLASSICยฎ, the Comet Design Markยฎ, the Dove Design Markยฎ, ELECTRONยฎ, INTERLINKยฎ, the Network Design Markยฎ, PLUSยฎ, the PLUS Design Markยฎ, TRAVELMONEYยฎ, VERIFIED BY VISAยฎ, VISA BUXXยฎ, VISA PLATINUMยฎ, VISA SIGNATUREยฎ, VISANETยฎ and It's Everywhere You Want To Beยฎ are registered Trademarks of Visa in the United States and other countries (trademark denotations on the Visa site indicate federal registrations in the United States). Nothing contained on the Visa site should be construed as granting by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any Trademark displayed on the Visa site without the written permission of Visa or such third party that may own the Trademark.

Anything with extremely possible TM issues are worthless

OK, let's discuss Visa point...

First of all, Visa is not the same as My Space or eBay - even from the TM point of view. All member Banks of Visa have the rights to use Visa name in their promotions - as far as I know members of MySpace or eBay haven't same rights. So, when you are promoting Visa Electron Card of Somewhere Commercial Bank you can absolutely legally open website VisaElectron.TLD without any legal problems - problem goes only to website design, that all member banks have info from Visa Guidelines.

So, nevertheless the fact that Visa is secured brand, there is a good quantity of legal entities that have all rigts to use Visa TM in general and Visa-named domain in concrete.

As for Visa meaning as travel term... there are lots of websites with visa word in it that have no problems with Visa - for example you can see VISA.ORG. Also, there are lots of other domains...

I only want to say, that it seems quite exxagarating to simply copy Visa TM usage rules from website or to say that there are extreme possible TM problems... There aren't definitely.

So, please consider all info and make appraisals with less risk on TM issues... :) Thanks.

Maybe they could, but I am not targeting them... :) I think there are about 20'000 banks and other financial institutions that are Visa members... Also, don't forget travel businesses...

I'm not so sure the "visa" portion of this DN is the problem. I find the word "want" in the combination to be the undesireble apect. :imho:

ABCVisa.com or worldVisa sounds more conducive to eigther use. Even if your are going to use this name for a traveling business the word "want" is still out of place. Wantlove, wantpassion, wanthappiness ...but not wantvisa. :imho:

low $$ to reseller low to mid $$$ to an end user over a bottle of chianti. :)

simply type want visa in google :) it is quite spread combination :) also, so beloved Visa has I Want Visa division on its website... :) maybe, for travellers I Need Visa is better, but they are all reserved...

I dout you are a member band of VISA though, moot point anyway, TM issues = 0$
no TM issues still 0$ not much value in the domain...

Of course, I'm not in any relationship with Visa... but that is not stopping me from knowing their brand procedures...

OK... :D

If you build a credit card website you may have TM issues. If you make a content site about obtaining a visa to travel the world then no TM issues.

The first has a bit of income potential, the 2nd not quite as much.

As the domain sits though I'd put it at $30-$50 for an end user.

Trademarks aside (because they are allowed to use Visa), the banks and agencies (Chase and Capital One) mounting the huge campaigns specifically for Visa cards would find this domain very attractive...in the "Got Milk?" type of advertising..."Want a Visa card? Go to...."

Of course the trouble is selling a Visa domain to a Visa company...TM.

Thanks verbster, thats the point that I'm trying to explain here - that banks etc. are allowed to use it... Also, thanks for Chase info...
