I'm looking for someone to develop a site for the domain Carsoholics.com.
Ideal Site:
-reviews of latest models
-safety advances
-latest advancements in green technology (hybrids, hydrogen fuel cells, electric)
-featurettes on celebrities who love cars (Jay Leno, 50 Cent, Paul Newman)
-how-to protect yourself from Body Shop rip-offs
-DIY fixer-upper tips
-cars in pop culture, their impact, and the stories behind them (Mustang in Bullitt, the General Lee in Dukes of Hazzard, James Bond's vehicles, Escalade)
-great for advertising (Autotrader.com, Classiccar.com, Classiccars.com)
-articles on vintage/classic cars
Developed properly, this domain has great earning potential. The similarly titled domain Audioholics.com is estimated at $4,300 by Estibot. Classiccars.com is estimated at $390,000, which goes to show that being specific in your domain name doesn't necessarily diminish value. To start, I'm looking for someone who can provide a basic, functional layout that's intuitive with one piece of example content for each section.
That being said, that is the ideal. A simpler site modelled directly in the vein of Classiccars.com (and/or Classiccar.com) is also something to consider. The idea here being to take one aspect of the ideal site (i.e. vintage/classic cars plus classifieds) and do it really, really well.
