I've been recommended to this forum by some good folks over at the SitePoint.com forums. I can see there's TONS of information on this site, and look forward to spending some time reading and learning.

That said, I'm interested in hearing your opinions on the domain name VoyagerHelp.com. If you aren't aware, there is a new LG cell phone distributed by Verizon called the Voyager. The "iPhone killer" some are calling it, as it has similar features at a cheaper price.

I registered it recently under the pretense that I might be able to resell it and make a small profit. It is focused at a distinct market, and is two simple words that are easy to remember (and spell for most people). There's nothing on the site, just the page holder from GoDaddy.

I've heard that new registrations don't usually pull much weight, and that's understandable as they are not yet being ranked or searched. I also have NO experience with domain reselling or advertising of any sorts (I've never touched AdSense or anything of that nature). So I wouldn't really know how to turn it into a parked profit.

Any comments or suggestions, I'm anxious to hear them. Thanks!

You can put in on Sedo.com for free. This will allow you to park it and see if people are going to your domain name. You can list it for sale as "make offer" Sedo does not pay as much as other parking companys, but they also dont ask you to have 100 name portfolio. Will also tell you what country vistors are from. After joining sedo all you do is change your name servers, which your register(like godaddy) can tell you how to do

Yeah, I've seen some things about Sedo while browsing here and SitePoint. I've also heard mixed reviews from it. Some more research and discussions with more knowledgeable people before I make a decision.

And I should mention that I am a web designer, and have plenty of experience working with domain names I own and whatnot, so I'm not entirely new.

use sedo just to see if anybody actally go to your name, you can have it done in 30 min. If nobody is going to your name, no sense spending 3 week analising parking companys over your 1 domain name. most parking companys dont care about guys with 1 name, sedo will. go luck
